“A friend of mine and I were riding our motorcycles around one evening. There was an extremely bright moon so Alan turned off the headlight and dodged the chuck-holes by moonlight. Suddenly he exclaimed, ‘Look at that!’ There were two big red eyes looking at us so we stopped and studied them. Then we heard a flapping sound and we followed it to this old abandoned building, and then we saw it properly—it was very big. It had broad shoulders that tapered down and you couldn’t see a neck. You could just see a head. I couldn’t comprehend what I was looking at. It turned to walk off the edge of the platform and I still thought it was a guy messing with us, so I yelled, ‘Hey buddy, there’s no railing.’ But it just continued off the edge and then the flapping started again.”
